I'm sure it's a joke. Their current 757's seat about the same as a UA 787. I wouldn't want to know how many you could pack in a single class 787.

And the hits keep on coming, looks like we had another engine failure today. This time it was an Airbus out of IWA. What will the FAA do now?

I'm curious myself...

If it's like the -80 engine "failure" posted about last week there's nothing to see here. Sorry but a false oil indication leading to a shutdown isn't really an engine failure in my eyes.

If you are flying around with one engine not producing thrust, that's an engine failure.

I’m sure this one will meet your high standards. I'm hearing complete melt down. Hopefully we can get some cool passenger videos.

Do pieces of the engine in the tail pipe count?

Catastrophic failure on downwind engine at 50 feet during a gust-induced go around. Crew described marginal climb and roll performance. Witnesses said after power up, the engine blew and the plane rolled hard, very close to the ground. All in gusty conditions. Borderline unable to maintain altitude. Very scary predicament.

Thanks to the skill and talents of a great crew (again), this didn't result in a catastrophe. They should be commended. IWA crews should buy these guys a few rounds tonight.

And you silly noobs thought scoring the bus would insulate you from Allegiants maintenance malpractice(s). Melt-down on the Go-around, just when you need it most. Nice.
