When you say new here, you mean new to the English language?

FAA moves up scheduled inspection of Allegiant Airlines | Local News - WESH Home

And the hits keep on coming..... The strategy of buying clapped out 3rd world aircraft seems to be losing it's appeal as we grow larger. It's easy to hide your awful airplanes and pathetic mx when almost nobody knows who you are. Allegiant is developing a well known reputation nationally. Unfortunately it's for all the wrong reasons. It's time Maury is forced out and we start buying new planes. We need a big shake up in management before it's too late.

A good MX department shutdown wouldn't hurt either... It would be nice if they were forced into better MX habits. Let's just hope the FAA has the balls and the brains to do it. With airplanes sitting a few days a week or more there's plenty of time to keep our fleet well maintained.

Catastrophic failure on downwind engine at 50 feet during a gust-induced go around. Crew described marginal climb and roll performance. Witnesses said after power up, the engine blew and the plane rolled hard, very close to the ground. All in gusty conditions. Borderline unable to maintain altitude. Very scary predicament.

Thanks to the skill and talents of a great crew (again), this didn't result in a catastrophe. They should be commended. IWA crews should buy these guys a few rounds tonight.
Respect to all the fine pilots getting the people behind them safely on the ground when the **** keeps hitting the fan, but I've got to ask new hires and prospective applicants: why come here? Why join an operation with such notoriously shoddy maintenance? Get a few hundred more hours at your regional and take a shot at Frontier or Spirit instead.

If it comes to that I doubt it'd be a matter of forcing "better habits" - a MX shutdown likely would mean au revoir Allegiant. I don't think you come back from that.

We’re perplexed by this too. Taking into consideration Frontier/Spirit are actively hiring in significant numbers. Two things that exist right away at those places, a contract and new car smell airplanes. Their maintenance may not be any better, but you would never know it having factory fresh birds.

So long as MG is the boss there will never be a contract at Allegiant. Our negotiators will not put forth a two page TA, minus work rules MG has sworn he will never agree to. Frontier and Spirit may not have industry leading pay, but the quality of life afforded by a contract and overall compensation will leave you richer.

As the fleet grows with these worn out second and third world airplanes, the risks keep escalating every year. Allegiants day to day operations are run by intern level leadership. We traded one dirtbag DO for another. His replacement is a career bad cop, with nothing else to offer.

Why wait for limited slots at the Legacies here?

“We haven’t been able to show empirically any correlation between negative publicity and bookings activity,” said Jude Bricker

“We’re trying to be a lot more active in generating positive publicity for the company."

They don't seem concerned about their horrendous mx and regular engine failures. Some how, despite Allegiants disastrous and pathetic operational performance, they think they can manufacture "positive publicity". We are one crash away from closing our doors for good, and these clowns are doing everything they can to make sure it happens. Maury and the gang are criminally negligent from my point of view. I hope Jude and Maury get to be cell mates one day.
