I don't think so. I think a there are a few people who benefit from the current scam who will loudly denounce a new agreement that works for ALL Spirit pilots.
In the end, we will all end up with more $$ in our paychecks and about a dozen indignant people will walk around with "I VOTED NO" stickers on their bags.
Reasons to vote YES:
-Higher pay for everybody.
-New aircraft orders that provide opportunities for career advancement that do not exist for a large number of First Officers.
-Stability that will boost investor confidence, ensuring a future for Spirit.
Reasons to vote NO:
-The 10% who make a lot of $$ to not work, under the current system.
I predict it will pass by 93-95%

Ha! The MEC will never submit that deal to the pilot group. Guess you forgot about the proposal last December.... Which looks better than the crap you posted on here! 75% DH? 110% above 82 hours? They already have 150% above 85 hours agreed upon.. I want what you're smoking!

New on the forums here, I just heard about this place!
Some of the latest contract rumors I've heard:
-Hourly rates similar to proposed Allegiant hourly pay scale for any A320 family aircraft up to 228 seats.
-5% reduction to current hourly pay scale applied to new Small Narrow Body aircraft. (CS100/300)
-PBS to replace line bidding, elimination of transition conflict
-Reserve modified to Long Call Reserve (12 hr call out), Short Call Reserve (current 3 Hr call out), and Airport Standby Reserve (8 Hr Airport Standby shifts).
- Long Call Reserve may be converted to Short Call Reserve with 36 hr notice. Max of 4 days/month may be converted.
-Long Call and Short Call Reserve may not be changed to Airport Standby Reserve.
-Airport Standby Reserve daily min credit greater of 5.0 hrs or block flown.
-Deadhead pay at 75% of hourly flight pay.
-110% premium for time flown above 82 hours.
-JA pay 150%
-Long Stay hotel provisions eliminated in exchange for breakfast vouchers provided at all hotels.
-Exploration of "Ab-Initio" style training program implementation.
-Professional (non seniority list) instructors to conduct all training events except for PC and Type Rating.
-Current pilot bases remain, proposed 6 month "base lock" for voluntary transfers between bases.
-Exploration of new crew bases for Small Narrow Body gauge aircraft at 2nd-tier airports due to gate availability at large hubs.
I guess we will have to give up a few things to get higher hourly rates, this seems like a win-win to get the pay up to standard.

The financial offsets from the elimination of transition conflict, introduction of PBS, instructors not on the seniority list and DH pay of 75% would easily, easily offset any paltry 110% above 82 hours. If we voted this contract in, we would be the laughing stock of EVERY airline out there and management would become the heroes of the airline management world. If management wants PBS, there's an easy, easy solution to get it: take their current contract, scratch out United and replace with Spirit and ask the pilot group to sign it. Anything less is going to get voted NO by the pilot group.

Management trying to get us to negotiate in public. Horrible attempt. My negotiating committee speaks for me.

1. Do not meet the education requirements to be hired by the legacy carriers.
2. Have DUIs or other misdemeanor charges that would not allow them to move to a legacy carrier.
3. Carry a large debt burden (student loans, etc.) and would vote for any immediate increase in pay.
4. Are within 10-15 years of retirement and will not leave Spirit, however they would be willing to vote for an immediate increase in pay vs. losing more time at the current pay scale.
5. Will not upgrade without a new aircraft order.
Hopefully we will get some more information after the August meeting.
