Spirit of NKS, Part II
We'll see every competitor paying 250+ and us still at 187 for MORE pax. We ought to be comparing 757 pay to us at 228 pax[/QUOTE]
I talked to an AA F/A about their 787's. They hold LESS than Spirit 321's
Also the "small" configuration of DL 330's hold 234 pax.

Looks like you guys will finally have to face facts and recognize with the current NC nothing is going to happen that will make you the slightest bit happy. Unfortunately it will stay a secret squirrel club as long as you leave the current NC in place, which one member is the MEC chair now. The NC is supposed to be lead by the MEC, that's not how it works at Spirit. The same results as last time, they will come to us begging for a Strike vote to hide behind, then will give us a ****ty TA and claim we have no choice, no man's land, etc. There will be no more transition conflicts in it, no profit sharing (they don't believe in that), no retro (same there too). Please stop believing the BS, every other NC is transparent to their pilot groups, why not ours? SWA gets info on the TA the same day, we waited 3 weeks to see ours after a strike?!? What are you expecting with the same people?
BTW, nice touch at SWA, even deceased people and retirees get retro. Our NC doesn't even care about new hires, they lowered first year pay in this Struck contract?!?
You want change? Keep emailing your reps and demand new members on the NC, put forward a resolution, let DFW have it's own local, etc.
Time to start getting militant on this management, stop the handshakes, high fives, and give backs, relief, no quid still after over a year. Let's fly the contract to the letter.

2. MEC chair is ALWAYS a member of the NC per the by-laws
3. If we spend OUR negotiating capital on profit sharing it's not only going to cost the company for pilots but for several thousand flight attendants also because of their me too clause. We will never see profit sharing because of that.
4. What do non-DFW pilots have to do with DFW getting it's own local? You can write resolutions until you're blue in the face, but you're not getting a local until the MEC recommends it unless you can get the executive council on board... good luck with that.

Finally!!! Yes! Someone who's with me! And you to goyon. There are still a few on here that want to do nothing because they're afraid it won't work. I say screw them. We don't need the mealy mouthed Nancy's anyway.

hopefully no instructors will pick up the midnight sims and training gets delayed until normal sim hours. This pilot group needs to unify and not keep helping out the company. We'll make way more money getting a industry standard pay raise than picking up open time and helping the company.

New hire pilots WILL take the midnight sim slots. They will be asked, and as probationary pilots, they will feel obligated to do so and will do so.
Now it would be nice if every new hire felt 100% comfortable with declining the company's request (as probationary) and said "I dont care if it takes longer to get training done, im not doing the late sims."
I dont blame any new hire. They are being placed in a bad situation where they are forced to walk a thin line here on what to do and what is right to do. So lets not put the pressure on the new hire pilot to make that decision, it should be left to our instructors who are protected by the contract and have the 100% option to NOT take the sim slots, without fear of repercussions.
That being said, my prediction is there will be plenty of new hires agreeing to the midnight sims and there will be instructors willing to train during that time. And unlike other clear contract violations that the company has committed, this is fully compliant with the CBA.
