Default Perrone jacket: leather grain?

Can anyone who owns a Perrone jacket of recent vintage post or PM me a pic of the leather grain, along with something for scale (e.g., a coin).

Looking at getting one in calfskin from Pop's, rather than the goatskin Perrone. Wondering if I need to opt for their grainy calfskin so as to match the "approved" Perrone one.

Thanks, much appreciated.

FYI, I have a Pops calfskin at my airline and wear it side by side with out guys who have the grainy Perrone. The difference is negligible and cant imagine any airline requiring the same "grainy" or "smooth" on their jackets.

FWIW, I feel the Pops is a much better product. Besides the fact Pops is custom made to your size, I have heard horror stories on the turn around time for a Perrone jacket..months. My Pops was made and sent in a week.

Perrone completely forgot to send my jacket until I called 2 months after I was told I would receive it. Then got a rushed jacket with my name misspelled in the patch and that took another month to receive fixed.

I sent my jacket back to Perrone, to have my new airline logo replaced. It took 3 months. They offered to refund the shipping, but customer service has gone way down.

Never had a Perrone, but do have a Pops in calfskin. Love it, 10 years old and still looking new, fits well, warm enough to rarely need to zip in the liner. My first leather was a Gibson & Barnes in a off the shelf size. Nice jacket but not nearly as nice as the Pops jacket.

We (Allegiant) use Perrone. I need a jacket.... You say Pops is the way to go? I'm sure their black jacket looks close enough.

I like the feel of the leather on the Perrone. Just looking at them to me looks like a higher quality but I think I would go with pops for the fit and everyone seems to like them. Not really that happy with the arm length on my Perrone.

FWIW guys I fly with are being told by Perrone that their jackets will take 3-4 months from order to receipt.

Gibson and Barnes....love it, and it didn't bleed dye all over my shirt collars.

The Pop's calf-skin is a very nice jacket and their customer support is great. I did have to return the first one sent because they put on the small zipper and made another error, but the turn around was very fast with great communication. Unfortunately my white shirt collars did pick up some color after wearing a full day, but it washes off just fine.
