This thread is up to 327 pages. I would say that is pretty unwieldy for someone coming to look for specific information? What does everybody think about creating a new thread, something like "Southwest 2016 hiring info"? We can bring over a few bullet points and FAQ. Should make it easier for applicants to get the info they need. Thoughts?

Military vs Civilian is split right down the center, give or take a little maybe. (Zap probably can confirm specific numbers here)
They will also be at NGPA in a few weeks out west, along with WAI in March. At OBAP last year they were going through applications with candidates at the fair, which is the first I've seen Southwest do this. I'll see if we can get confirmation they will be doing this regularly at upcoming fairs.
Hope this helps some.

Seems to be about 1/3 of the new hires in the most recent classes have not had the 737 type. Not sure about the number with or without attending a job fair. DAL will be attainable within a few months after IOE. Most recent hiring stats show about 40% only civilian, 40% only military, and 20% a combo of both.

I was hired with no type and I never attended a job fair. I am not prior military either. I have heard that SWA really likes to put a face to an application, so in that regard I would say attending a job fair would be worth it.
