Who's gonna bid the 190 at DAL?

I'm sure they will fill the captain positions, but it will either be junior or guys who liked the plane when they flew it at the regionals. At 3 years 7erB and 190A are earning the same pay rate, and past that the ER pulls away.
The FO side will be much different. FOs on the 190 don't get a pay raise year 2; and the pay scale is utter crap after that (year 2 717 FOs make more than 12+ on the 190), so figure the 190 will be a revolving door of new FOs straight out of indoc which means every captain will be a de-facto LCP without the override. In SEA there is no way I'd bid it -- way too expensive up there. Even if it came to ATL I would not bid it at the current rate.
Hopefully our union is smart enough to NOT give the company a LOA to fix the rate while we are negotiating. Filling the FO side of this plane is going to be a problem for the company.

New hires next winter should expect the 190 I guess.

The first intro into service is over a year away. Everyone knows the minimum rate will be the TA15 rate. They also know there will be retro pay to that rate and I am sure the company will make that known. Pilots will bid it based on those rates.

Hopefully the union will NOT do a side letter for 190 pay! Not until the whole contract is done to our satisfaction.

Except you guys like to tell us how long it is going to take. Well over a year right? Will it be TA16 or 17? Personally I don't care but the point is they may be staffing this thing before the new rates are published. Good luck. Ill keep my right seat Maddog bid, it is actually a paycut right now to the left seat of that plane.
