Just purchased a pair of the Serengeti Martino with the Photochromic Sedona lenses. They cut down on eye fatigue and they react to UV light which brighten in dark conditions as well as darken in bright conditions so you don't have to constantly take them and put them back on while popping through cloud layers.

Also, for the Bus drivers that already have them, do you like the Amber lenses or go with the green or gunmetal? I prefer gunmetal personally in my sunglasses but don't know how they would work on the Bus.

Bump - I will be in PHX this week, would love to know where to go to check out the sunglasses. Where do I go?!

I saw this as well a few months ago. The sunglass market is nearly a monopoly on both the manufacturing and retail sides and this results in prices that are double or triple of what they should be. I didn't read every post but I'm a huge Randolph Engineering fan. Frames guaranteed for life, extremely well made and supported and at $110 closer in price to what sunglasses should cost. They are mil-spec and have been a a military option since 1983.

My Suggestion is if you can get to the Southwest Lounge during Normal hours in the D terminal, you can try or buy right there, but the easier method would be to look at style and size and just buy online. It takes 2-3 days to get them and then if it doesn't work for you. Just send them back. No harm, no foul. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks I will check it out this week.

I bought the Serengeti Velocity's today and flew with them, very happy with how they performed on the Bus. I wish they got a little darker outside in the bright light probably just because I'm used to darker glasses, but I certainly enjoyed the gradient lenses and how they work for inside the cockpit, and I like the photochromic lenses that get darker or lighter whether indoors or outdoors.

So far so good! :-)
