Interesting thread!

I'm a current regional CA, previous experience in corporate, charter, and instruction. All civilian.

Two PIC type ratings
5200 TT
1400 PIC
4150 Multi
~400 TPIC

B.S. Engineering from a top ranked engineering school, 3.5 GPA.

I volunteer with multiple organizations.
Over 15 recommendations, from line pilots, LCAs, CPs, and sim instructors. Also from people outside aviation.
5 internals with UAL
3 internals with DAL

Two professional reviews of my application and resume.

I've been to one job fair, and am attending OBAP next month.

Zero checkride failures, a history of 3 minor speeding tickets, the last one was over five years ago. Clean background otherwise.

I've had my apps in for years, and have never heard a word. Companies applied to include UAL, DAL, AMR, and FedEx. Internal references with all of them (including a sponsor with FedEx).

I got a 2.7 gpa in college but then again I made the most of all that college is.

Too bad that doesn't count much to the majors.

TPIC is the weak spot, but everything else is looking great. Keep hitting the job fairs and make friends with the recruiters.

I didn't think the UPT busts counted either, but they are listed in my Air Force records. That could be a very uncomfortable situation in the HR portion. The Delta Air Lines addendum is pretty specific:

Have you ever failed ANY checkrides (military or civilian) including phase checks, proficiency checks, FAA check rides, or line checks?

Yeah, I figured the GPA is a crusher.. I had to hurry through in order to beat the age cutoff for going to UPT. I had to focus on getting through college ASAP so studying suffered.

Thanks for the input.. Appreciate it.

Haaaah! No.

I'm definitely not DL material, but I have seen more than a few get picked up by the legacies lately.

When I went into the interview they had already changed the addendum to specify SUPT busts. I added them, they asked me and that was the end of that discussion. Just wanted to see if I was upfront about it and what I learned. Basically a non issue.
Guard guy, have yo had a reference send an email to pilot recruiting to pull your app to be scored? I had a 2.6 undergrad and had less hours and was given an invite. Additionally volunteer work is heavily weighted. PM me if you need me to look at your app. I used an outside company to review it and I was complimented on my app during the interview which also has a score in the HR panel.
