Default Who is still waiting for the call?

Things have sure quieted down here on APC concerning people that have gotten the nod so I thought I would start a thread for those of us still waiting for the call. I figure if we post our stats then maybe we can see a trend and find a way to improve our odds. I'll start:
TT- 7600
TPIC- 2400
Multi- 6500
Military- IP, Chief Pilot, DO, All Heavies, currently flying in reserves.
Civilian- 91,121, 135 (currently flying 135), 8 type ratings
Education- BS with not so great 2.7 GPA. No masters
No accidents, incidents or suspensions, 2 check ride UNSAT's in UPT.
2 speeding tickets
CFI, CFII, MEI, A&P w/ IA.

Have had my application in since Summer 2014.

Have had your Application in where?

I hope not Delta. Aren't you the guy who started the Delta 9,000 page "Latest & Greatest"? . It's pretty ****ty if you haven't gotten called considering some of the folks who have.

Good luck

Nope that wasn't me, must be a different variation on Guardguy. I have had my airlineapps application in with Delta, United. I have also applied with AA and FedEx.

Why not try to use a LCC as a stepping stone? That's what they seem to be becoming nowadays. Spirit, Frontier, JetBlue, Virgin.

No, that guard guy was hired in 2010 I believe, I've met him once before.

Frontier has 2 year 24k training bond not to mention $37/hr first year pay. Nk, g4 and even sun country are much better options if you are looking for a quick 121 experience before legacies call

The low GPA, 2 check ride busts, and speeding tickets are hurting your app. You could still get a call from a legacy but you'll need serious networking, internal recommendations, and spend lots of time at job fairs getting face-to-face with recruiters.

Simply hitting 'submit' on the application websites won't be enough to get hired.

I'd agree, probably going to take a face to face at WIA, OBAP, or NGPA to get the call for an interview with those previously mentioned distractors.

UPT busts are pretty standard though. My class averaged a little over 2 busts out of 7 total check rides per person. Only 5 didn't fail a single one. UPT checkrides aren't "real" check rides, per se. If you Q3 later on in your career it's a different deal though.

I would remove the "check ride busts" from your app. Those aren't real check rides. The GPA doesn't matter much. The tickets aren't a big deal. I couldn't disagree with Flyby more.
