Default Airbus vs MD 80

I am in a custody battle trying to move with my son
I'm needing opinions and facts that an Airbus is a career advancement even though pay is the same
I am a Captain with 10000 hrs
In the MD 80

Submit cockpit photos of each. Should end any debate.

Do you like airplanes that have large flight decks, tables to eat your lunch, foot rests, no annoying flight controls in the way?

I love the Airbus. Fifi acts up, but I come to expect it from Fifi...

I think he's looking for talking points to give to a judge on why he should be able to move.

Just print off some of those Chinese Airbus pay rates and show them that.

Am I missing something? Why is a 10k CA asking this? Take what works for you and son? The Bus only makes a good pilot average, so.. go with what really matters, which is your son. Career advancement is 10x better in the Bus, but I shouldn't have to be telling you this?

Might want to wait for the judge's ruling before deciding on the jet as it's probably a larger and immediate situation on your plate.

I don't know which company you are with but I can guess. Main point you should make is that the MD80's will be gone in the next 2-4 years. Transitioning now will enable you to plan for your son's future at a stable base and not be at the mercy of the TDY which will come as the number of MD80's dwindle.

It's definitely NOT American as they ONLY refer to the MD-80 as the Super 80.
