Have any of you used an app called "NonRev"? Just downloaded it, it has a hefty monthly/yearly subscription fee, but it claims to give load info for all the major carriers, sans Southwest. It shows flights as "Great", "Full", or "Over". Not entirely sure how accurate it is yet. Any reviews?

The UAL seat map is NOT a good tool to determine availability. Any passenger who hasn't selected a seat assignment will cause a seat to appear open on the map. Many passengers do not pay for Economy Plus seats so that's why the blue seats are often open. They are assigned a seat at the gate if Economy is full. Use a Facebook group like Non Rev Loads or Loadshare to get accurate info.

I have used both Non Rev Loads and another called ID Deals. They are good for getting a general idea of how the flights are but of course never going to be completely accurate. They have access to SABRE and both say they use some sort of algorithm to help estimate loads.

The biggest problem I find with flying standby is not seat availability but how many standbys are on the flight. Without that knowledge most of the information is useless.
