I can understand that, but still question how he thinks that this flight, check airman, co-pilot was graded on a curve? Bad judgment is something that may not show its ugly head until something like this happens, sadly. Too start throwing these accusations is in poor taste, IMO.

CA was the co-owner of the charter airline that crashed. When it comes to money-related issues (eg, fuel stop) one might think this might have created a conflict of interest.

4 hr+ flight with 81 pax and bags, even full fuel for the Avro would have put them at a precarious situation upon arrival at the destination even if things were working out great. A simple 15 minute delay for another aircraft put this aircraft in a flameout situation.

The investigation should reveal all. Did the FO have the training (CRM) and experience to call out to the CA ahead of time that she was not comfortable with the fuel state?

And who was PF? The CA seemed to be the one doing all the talking on the radio, so if the FO was PF that should be okay, but if it turns out the CA was also the PF, this is going to be another CRM disaster accident.

There were two PIC's listed and one SIC. I'm sure the investigation will sort out who was PF/PM.

Very good points and questions. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the investigations reveals. Unless there was a mechanical fuel/engine issue or a fuel leak there is no reason for an aircraft to run out of fuel.

I know it has 4 engines, but you know you're flight planning waay too long a flight when you gotta 3-man crew an Avro RJ85

I'm glad I clicked on this thread...good laughs, decent looking chicks, generational bashing and someone complaining about spanking. It also intrigued me enough to look up what generation I am, turns out I'm a millennial ! This changes everything!

Just wanted to revisit the thread to offer up this trainwreck - http://instagram.com/knxposures.

I like the ones where he leaves the dome light on during a night approach to film himself.
