Default Hello Student Pilot Here

I am new to the forum but have been reading for some time. I have to say that this forum is one of the best for learning about the state of the aviaiton industry!

About Me:

I am 37 married and currently employed as a professional firefighter. I am close to completing my private pilot and start instrument training this spring. The weather is horrible for flying VFR X-countries this time of year in Tacoma. I have a plan of becoming a CFI some day and spending my off days from the fire service at the airport working with general aviation. I do have to admit that I was very interested in aviation as a profession in college. But as life goes I choose my profession after volunteering to pay for flying but still haven't left my security blanket. I have to admit the job is great and it does allow me to stay at home with the family.

Currently living in Washington State close to Tacoma and was wondering if anybody had any opinions of flight instructing and or chartering eventually in the South Puget Sound Region? My first choice would be KTIW!
