Cool hi

well lets see i am a flight student at tstc in waco texas a 141 school started back in the fall of 06 have my check ride for my instrument lic on the 14th cant wait. currently i have just over 200 hrs with about 10 in actual. i should have my my commercial, multi and cfi no later than the end of august, at least that is my goal. you thing that i have learned since starting my flight training that patients, studying and good judgment are paramont in this field. my next step is to be an instructor for at least 6 months. there are some regional companies that i could get an interview with straight out of school but i thought about it for some time and have committed myself to instructing before i try for a company, thats where the patients comes in for me. i am look to flight instruct out west Arizona, California, or somewhere with consistently good flying weather. if you know of any let me know.

Since no one else has said, hello, I will ... Hello! Welcome to the board.

I went the military route, but I can tell you that you will become a much better pilot once you have been instructing for a while. I think you are making a wise choice, and when you make the move to a regional job you will be much better prepared.

Good luck!

Yes welcome aboard from another new join. You and I started out quite similiar. I got all of my ratings out of college and an Aviation degree - but unlike you I didn't hang around to get my CFI/CFII/MEI. I understand more now, but at the time I just didn't feel like I knew enough to be instructing. Since my time in the military though I've seen all services use freshly winged aviators retained as IPs. If I had to do it all over again I guess I would rethink my opinions. I ended up flying checks stubs and jumpers a little while looking for that elusive bush flying job >G< In the end - it has been a great road and I'm envious that it is just starting for you. ENJOY!
