Default Hello from a Washington Native

I am a 22 year-old almost graduate of Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL with a CFII. I have about 450 hours with 250 dual given. I grew up and was raised in Seattle Area (Puyallup specifically).

I am currently about to start a CRJ course at Riddle and complete my MEI. I plan to move back to Washington in mid June and start instructing full-time for at least 6-months time before deciding my next step (most likely Skywest).

I enjoy browsing the forums and would greatly appreciate any information anyone has on low time jobs in the Seattle area or maybe even the Alaska area. I have done an internship with Alaska Airlines and hope to one day work there based out of Seattle.

Besides flying I enjoy struggling to play guitar, music, and time with the gf.

If anyone knows of good multi-engine building opportunities in the Seattle area I would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

If you want to return to Seattle, come back here, get your float plane rating with Kenmore, and ask 'em for a job application on the same day. I *believe* how the system works is: They have you instruct for a while, building up your SES time, then when you're qualified for 135 minimums, they turn ya loose on the passenger ops. Busy work schedule, but flying a floatplane for a living looks like more fun than a basket of kittens.

They're also hiring into the right seat of the landplane C-208, but I'd stay away from any right seat job in a plane that doesn't actually require two pilots.

Whatever you end up doing, DON'T buy any training that you can get for free. Those RJ courses are the biggest ripoff to come down the pike. You want some RJ sim time? Get on with a regional, they'll train you as they like. They may even pay you for the privilege. (Not much, but hey)
