Welcome aboard. I'm east coast C-12 guy about to retire from USN. I will resist the urge to joke about the USAF to USN transition.
My cut is the 121 industry has changed yet again while we were applying for a job. At this point I'd shotgun your app to everybody taking resumes and target the regionals that are hiring, RAH, PNCL, AWAC etc. That is also my short list with a few others that have not called, PSA for one.
The hiring is slowing and I'm not expert on whether it will stop so work fast.
Were you a former 121 guy, i.e. the 737-300 time? When did you get your Herk time? 3000 jet and 1100 piston?
Thanks. I think you might have misunderstood my post a little. I was a USAF Herc Navigator. Did not transition to Navy.
I worked overseas to get the 737 time, I would say it was 121 equivalent. My Herk time was more than 10 years ago at Elmendorf but again sitting only sidesaddle.
I was also thinking to just shotgun all the regionals.
Thanks for the advice. Congrats on your retirement.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think RAH is hiring right now and AWAC is putting people in a pool. PNCL... well there is a whole thread why people shouldn't work there.
Comair air is hiring. oh and so is eagle...

FE written
4100 pilot hrs
3000jet, 737-300/500/700
only 40hrs jet PIC
1100hrs S/E, M/E piston
Any thoughts on which regional (s) i should target?
Thanks,
HN
Are you typed in the 737? if so, why look at regionals, try southwest, they are going to pick up hiring this fall. With your time I would look at some comanies hiring that pay better and have a better lifestyle, IMO. World, ATI(where I just got hired) etc.
BTW, I was at the dorf 2000-2003, when did you leave?

Yes I'm typed in 737. I'm looking at regionals because I don't have the required PIC. In fact I really don't have the PIC for anywhere. I was think regionals to eventually get the PIC then move on to somewhere else.
What do you think? Advice? I would love to get on with someone like world!

SPJ,
You are correct, on RAH and AWAC. RAH said Sep/Oct class date maybe. That's OK with me I could use some down time before I'm the new guy again.
PNCL yes another story and concur on the threads. I would like the interview experience however.
Comair sounds like a fine company (yours?) which will be next on the target list if I can't get pooled with AWAC.
