You're getting a great start by thinking about where you want to be already. If you want to do the Air Force thing, start deciding now whether you want to go active duty, Reserves, or Air National Guard. Talk to folks. If there is an AFROTC unit at your college, walk in, introduce yourself, and talk to the instructors (but don't sign anything yet!). Ask people you know if they know anyone who flies in the Guard/Reserves ... and I'm sure you can find plenty of Guard/Reserve folks on this forum who can give you good info.
If you want to go active duty, ROTC is not a bad way to go. You might be able to get a scholarship, and it is one way to try to get a pilot slot. If you really want to fly, then you might want to pursue all avenues (ROTC/OTS/Reserves/Guard) and figure out which one offers you the best chance.
If you don't get a pilot slot through ROTC/OTS, don't give up! You can get a pilot slot later -- but you will have to decide if you want to join the AF/Reserves/ANG in the hopes of getting a pilot slot later. If not ... be careful what you sign.
Anyway, good luck!
