Thats what i have been saying for a while now. i just got a little worked up about all this lately causing some of my comments. I am seeking therapy though for the crackpipe addiction, also known as forums. LMAO

I propose a joint meeting for both pilot groups. I think they drink Longenkeugel or however its spelled up north. Down in ATL, the local brew is Sweetwater 420. Let's meet at Spondivits which is the local bar on the north corner of ATL and break bread and share each others beverages. After a rousing night, nothing will bring unity for both sides like collectively dodging gunfire on Virginia Ave. whilst running for cover. Got my six brothers??

We've basically gained the bottom 1/3 of our list in the last 5 years and they are screaming for blood from our management. The new CAL doesn't even resemble the old Scabbie CAL and I think you're in for a pleasant surprise when it comes time for a merger agreement.

I hope you're right brotha...

What a joke.

Any comments now DAL4EVER?????
Yeah, that's 20% more than you have at CAL. I think I posted a reply under a different thread but this is an interim contract over which the joint contract will build off. That means we just raised the bar for us to negotiate off of as well as CAL to negotiate off of. How about, thanking DALPA for changing the way mergers are handled with pilots. The traditional merger process left AWA/LCC pilots out in the cold. We now have a process that is provides equity in the company to the tune of around $80,000 per pilot on average. Before, pilots never got anything. We get immediate raises and further raises when the joint contract is done. What is so wrong?

If you want to keep slamming DAL, then as Jack Nicholson said in a Few Good Men, "pick up a rifle and stand a post!". We were paying $335/hour when CAL took non bankruptcy, voluntary concessions that are lower than our bankruptcy contract. I went from $170/hour to $102/hour but I don't throw sand at CAL for that. I could. What have CAL pilots enjoyed? 2005 hires are Captains. Any correlation for growth and wages? Don't know. But if you don't get $335/hour on your next contract what should I think of you. Now go raise the bar Driver!

I'll bring the biscuits and gravy if you'll bring the lutefisk! In all honesty I hope we can work together to make the new carrier a dominant global force. Then we should command some very nice contracts in the future.

I'd probably vote yes for that but as you pointed out earlier:

Apparently only "uniformed toolbags" are worthy of such pay. I guess you'll be happy with 17% and don't want to upset the apple cart and make proper wages.

Delta pilots just raised the bar with a groundbreaking deal, and you're complaining about the size. That deal is coming from an industry that just had 4 Chapter 7's and one Chapter 11 this past week, and from a company that's been out of bankruptcy less than a year and is currently losing money. That deal should also create more leverage and a second bite of the apple for the joint contract covering NWA/DAL pilots.

Hope you do as well with UAL...

And it's interesting that a pilot hired at CAL in 1987, when that airline and all its roots were just getting over breaking ALPA in a strike, would complain about the height of a bar. For 20 years you've been working for an airline that my management continually pointed to as the "comparable" in contract negotiations, using your wage rates to try and lower mine.

Clean up your own house first. I hope you do a lot better than us, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if you match.
