ALPA Pilot Leaders Issue Joint Statement on Negotiations
WASHINGTON—The chairmen of the Delta and Northwest pilot groups, both represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), have jointly discussed with ALPA’s President, Capt. John Prater, the importance of commencing negotiations with Delta management in the very near future.
The negotiations would seek a single collective bargaining agreement that will include immediate parity in rates of pay effective on the closing date of the proposed corporate transaction. This does not constitute endorsement of the transaction by the Master Executive Council (MEC) of the Northwest pilot group.
The two MEC chairmen and ALPA are attempting to schedule preparation meetings between the two negotiating committees and actual negotiations with management. A separate announcement of those dates will be released when available.
The MEC chairmen also agree that seniority integration should be accomplished through expedited negotiation after the negotiation of the single collective bargaining agreement and, if necessary, using expedited arbitration to be completed before closing of a corporate transaction.

Regardless of whether the NWA MEC endorses the merger or not they OWE it to their pilot group to negotiate a single contract and an SLI before the merger happens. Once that's done, they can fight it, kicking and screaming all they want. I feel if the right amount of money goes to the right pockets, this merger will happen. If the NWA MEC does NOT participate in negotiations to work on a single contract and SLI they will have done a huge dis-service to their pilot group.

Chris: I imagine you're going to be much more of a stern father now that you have a mustache.
Peter: Well Chris there may be more lap sitting then there's been and I might answer most of your questions with a story but mostly my mustache tells people that there's a 90 percent chance that I am poorly educated. That I keep upscale porn magazines out in the open. And that I listen to the Little River Band with giant headphones.

Chris: Wow Dad, you're up early.
Peter: Yep, it's a mustache kind of morning Chris. I watched the sunrise in my jeans, jean shirt and jean jacket.
Chris: Gosh mustache culture is pretty cool
Peter: You betcha son, I'm gonna make you some hash browns for breakfast then later I'm going to take you down to the ***** house to you lose you're virginity.
Would you like that?

(Family Guy circa 2007) Over 80% of our CA's here have them. Hmmmm.

Great one!!! The best rejection line I ever got was, "I'd like to go out, but I've gotta dust my apartment that night"

We got a lot of us here without much hair. Kind of Homer Simpson like.

Marge: Go upstairs and talk to your daughter Homer, she came in second in the spelling bee and she's very depressed.
Homer: Lisa
Lisa: Yes Dad
Homer: Just remember, you tried as hard as you could - and you failed. The lesson here is...never try.

Classic!! Every time I see the pics of the ALPA National guys in the magazine I do a full body shiver. Our monthly mag should probably be renamed "Mustache Aficionado". Although, IMHO the vastly superior periodical remains to be "Grape Soda Today"
