Yeah. I would say an hour or so is a pretty short time.

Maybe its because they have been consistently telling everyone it will happen by the end of the year, then bam both done within a hour each other. They also put out that it would take 24 to 48 hours to get the DCC paperwork done after DOJ approval.

They hurried this one through intentionally to sneak it in attempting to retain people as well as lock the stock price in before it jumps tomorrow and the next day.

Super,
If Pilots were planing on retiring and trying to time it down to last month or even week then they were gambling and it appears most lost. Just like the DAL pilots who thought they would have time to retire before the pensions were cancelled. If you think DCC is November or December then retire in September. Anyhow, I am all for a grace period and letting the guys retire now under the old medical plan but I don't think its in the cards. Welcome aboard NW Pilots!

Interesting how the DCC occurs the day after the dollar drops again, and the stock is $2 lower than it was a week or two prior. There goes some equity.

The stock hasn't been issued yet, let alone been sold. Let's not go jumping off of ledges yet. Once the stock is issued, Athena will hold it until they think they can get the best price for it. That means don't go out and spend it yet. It may be awhile before it's paid out, and even then it goes to fill up the 401K first.

So you are saying that the only opportyunity they had to retire and receive the bennies was the time from when the DOJ approval was granted, and the DCC occurred. Is that what you are saying?
