Hello all,

Just a quick update for those who don't follow this same forum on aptap. I and a handful of others who interviewed in early march just got out conditional offers. They seem to be somewhat different this go around in that there are no locations mentioned. I guess we will get our location at a later date.

As far as I can tell all of us who got the packet (no phone call) interviewed for the UAS AIA position. When I called to get clarification of the position I was being offered, I was told it was for strait AIA not UAS.

Assuming a time line similar to past applicants, we should be getting a call to meet with the BI sometime in the next month.

No word from folks who are waiting on interviews from the 5/15 position.

Them not giving you an initial location is not a big deal. I was given a location with the conditional offer and it changed twice before I was given a firm offer. That may be a good thing. We started getting ready mentally for one location then it would change. I also got two other "firm locations" that I didn't respond to in time and they also changed. So I wouldn't get wrapped up in locations until you speak directly to them and accept the firm offer in a timely manner. Good luck.

I posted this over on APTAP for those of you who don't lurk over there...

I sent Team B an e-mail yesterday to inquire about timelines for interview offers going out. I'm headed to the US from Germany for two weeks in June and was hoping to be able to combine the vacation trip with an interview.

The response I got was that some interview offers had gone out but that with hundereds of applications it was impossible to determine when the hiring official would get to a specific application. Maybe the wait for the next step is nearing an end.

I imagine if I get called it'll be shortly after I buy my tickets to Denver and the interview will be scheduled for the day after I was planning on getting back to Germany.

Hello everyone, new to the thread, but read a good bit of it. I applied in mid April, got a 96 and am now in the desert. The closeout, I believe, is May 15 for the current posting on usajobs. My question is whether anyone receives a phone call for interview prior to the closeout date?(Not that I will get one, just curious)

Welcome to APC. The going rumor is that applications went out to the hiring officials some time in April and that interview offers, if not already going out, will be out very soon. Unknown how the offers are going out, be it based on NOR or date of application. From what I've read you've got an above average score so I'd give yourself a good chance of getting a call and hopefully you can do the interview once you get back.

Fly Safe.

Good Call. This thread could use a sticky. Then again, I'm sure we'll all be posting here like crazy when those interview offers go out.

Just spoke with a boarder patrol pilot in Niagara Falls, NY. From what he told me they hire on at $75,000 a year to start but you need 1,200 civilian hours to apply. The only exception is that he told me is that is you are already a boarder patrol agent you can get into their program with 500 hours. Hopes this helps.
