Another question for anyone in the know. I know we're only 4 days since the last posting closed out, but I had heard that customs usually will repost the job announcement immediately for the next round of prospective interviewing and hiring. Any rumors since I don't see any further announcements? There was the P-3 announcement for Jax, but I looked it over and I think you need to be a current or prevous LEO/P-3 PIC to be competitive. Thanks in advance.

Is there a physical involved in the process or do they just rely on your 1st class medical?

For all interested, there is a new job listing on USA Jobs for P-3 pilots for Jacksonville, Florida. It is only open until May 22.

Yea, the last announcement came right out after the other closed. I think this is a little different now. There has been talk of a "freeze" and according to someone who recently spoke to K.D. in D.C.; There are no current openings for AIA's. Of course that could change at any moment, but I am not sure there will be another announcement anytime soon. I hope I am wrong though for those of you that want to come on over. As far as a physical, all they require is your first class physical. Good luck to all, I would love to see another announcement out tomorrow and show that I am full of it.

Any new info on the latest? I know this post is only a few weeks old, but any updates are better than none. Thanks.

The only update I have is that according to some in the know at FLETC, All the classes for FY09 have been cancelled after the July class. Hope that is incorrect, but I will check into it when I get there in June. Will post what I hear.

Spoke with KD @ MN today and she said that they were going forward with the hiring process for the 5/15/09 announcement, and that the hiring freeze DOES NOT apply to this posting. She said that they are currently putting a list together of applicants to be reviewed. From that list, applicants will be selected for interviews. She expects calls to go out in 3-4 weeks.
