Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC)

No Airhoss - as Cub pointed out - this is thread revival.
I left FUN for STABLE!
If there was ANY way possible - - - I'd do part-time work, but the 9-5, 40 hr work week just doesn't allow it.
I'm still feeling the *sting* in some ways, but hopefully the years will lessen it.

I checked the companies website again to see if they had any updated information or links to the NTSB reports for the mishaps of last year , and came across some new and improved promotional videos with high quality air-to-air and inside the cockpit footage.
This is the newest one:
ATAC - Video 2012
Older video:
ATAC - Video
Only one small mention of the *new* and important work they are doing with JTAC and CCAS training:
USAFE SELECTS ATAC FOR JTAC SUPPORT CONTRACT IN EUROPE
US MARINE CORPS SUCCESSFULLY EMPLOYS CONTRACTED AIR TO GROUND TRAINING CAPABILITY
For any of you young go-getters that are wanting to hang around the community for awhile longer, last I heard they are always interested in taking applications. You can imagine though that internal recs are key here and if you don't happen to know someone on the inside - rest assured that they will be calling around!

Head's up - - - thread revival
Was just handed an article out of the June 2014 edition of Air Force Magazine which features an article on Commercial Air Services.
'Enemies For Hire' is an interesting read.

ATAC did not have a crew resource management or safety-risk management program in place for its pilots at the time of these accidents; therefore, it is likely that the pilot's training did not support good aeronautical decision-making concepts.

Here's the NTSB report on a previous fatal Hunter accident, also owned and maintained by the same company that leases the Hunters to ATAC, which is Lortie Aviation of Canada, formerly Northern Lights Aerobatic Team.
In this report, the owner and Navajo pilot is the owner of Lortie Aviation. You gotta read it to believe it!
NTSB report: Fatal Hunter crash at Pittston, PA

Can't delete the previous posts to consolidate here, not sure why?
The NTSB changed the links:
ATAC A-4 (A-4L) crash at Fallon:
July 8, 2010
NTSB Preliminary Report
ATAC Kfir crash at Fallon (fatal):
March 6, 2012
NTSB Probable Cause
NTSB Full narrative
ATAC Hunter crash at Point Mugu/Ventura Country/Camarillo (fatal):
May 18, 2012
NTSB Preliminary Report
ATAC Hunter crash at Point Mugu/Ventura Country/Camarillo (fatal):
October 29, 2014
NTSB Preliminary Report
I'd think twice before applying for a job there. Geez. The Hunters are rented from and supported by (non-ex-military) maintainers from Lortie Aviation (US subsidiary: Hunter Aviation International), so read the NTSB report on the Pittston Hunter crash (fatal) too.

I didn't and I wish I could still fly for them.
The flying isn't for everyone.
The jets are older - obviously - and the flying is tactically based operations - not point to point.
I see you posting a lot about ATAC on the forum.
What is your interest in the company?
As for your quote above about the aircraft being maintained by "non-ex-military", then you are incorrect. Some may be - I didn't know the backgrounds of every maintainer, but most, if not all, of the ones I knew were prior military.
