LOL. That story made no sense it said that guy finished college at like 19 and he had worked at like 3 different airlines due to furloughs before going to eagle at 21. Then to top it off out of nowhere it said that he was a part time F16 fighter pilot for the ANG, at that point I knew I was reading a fairy tale. Sorry ALPA I don't think anyone can have it that perfect.

You really believe that post was from TM? I'm going to say NOT....Although I could use some of those "cheep" drinks he's looking for....

I don't think ALPA made a mistake at all with this article.......IMO, he actually portrays the ALPA "code of ethics" quite accurately.

For those of you worried about his supposedly current F-16 flying, it appears his sights are on the F-15 for the future. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sleeping a little better these days, knowing my back is protected up there.

There are thousands of people out there making false claims. The most common one is, "I was a Navy Seal." To get an idea ofd the size of this problem read:

I read somewhere that 4 of 5 claiming to be Vietnam Vets are frauds.

...ahhh....makes me yearn for the return of "The Man Show"

But seriously, "Romulus", this douche-bag deserves every bit of vitriol slung his way.
At first glance, I read this article and thought what a middle-age slacker I was...(okay, still think that), but this is what our young Walter Mitty claims;
)A.E. pilot-true
)F-16 aviator in N.J. ANG-False
)NYFD Ladder 2 firefighter/paramedic -False
)ACA furloughee- False
)U.S.A.F. Academy grad- False
)Rescue diver- False
)has CFI, CFII, and Seaplane single-engine - false
)Flew for SWA - not even gonna' comment on this one
(not sure if I missed anything)

What's sad is that an ALPA reporter making more than the most senior captain at my airline didn't do ANY homework and fact check this guy, especially an article about ethics and professionalism.

The worst part is this kid could've made for a great story. He got hired with a little over 500hours at A.E. at the age of 21. If he never changes jobs, he may end up #1 on the seniority list at a respectable 121 carrier making pretty good money. Apparently he was a volunteer fire-fighter in Florida, and does work for ALPA...That resume alone for a very young man is something to be proud of. Instead of mentoring other pilots, with a little seasoning under the wing of a mentor for himself, he could probably be the standout kinda' guy he obviously wants to be...

Just sad...

And, yes, military pilots and others should be ****ED that this was published!

(btw: "USMCFLYER" is there a reason this thread was locked in the regional section? Alot of the guys don't peruse the military threads, and would find this topic interesting...just a thought)

I have actually met this guy before. He worked the ramp at long island mcarthur. Everyone that worked with him knew he was completely full of it. His facebook back then said he was a pilot for Southwest Airlines and his profile picture was him the cockpit of a 737. He did work for southwest but as a ramper. His co-workers found his facebook and ridiculed him un-mercifully for it... and apparently he hasnt learned.

Just goes to show the Airline industry & Military is a small world. Lying about credentials/experience is about the dumbest thing you can do. It's a dog-eat -dog world and someone was bound to catch on at some point..

...and he's 24 and claimed to graduate from USAFA in 2006 (on Linkedin)...when he was 20. So did he then Palace Chase into the Guard (Because it's so easy for 20 year old 2Lt's to do so ), go to UPT and get hired by Eagle all at the same time? Or did he attend the College he claims in the ALPA article. Did he even have the 500+ hours that were in his logbook when he got hired at Eagle? Oh, the comedy.
