Default Changes in HYT for officers

Has anyone heard of possible changes in the HYT rules for officers? I was speaking with my Reserve Program Manager today and he said there may be some changes in the works for HYT. 0-6 to 28yrs, 0-5 to 26yrs etc...
While this does not surprise me, I was just just curious if others have heard the same.

regards,

AFPC released a message for FY12 saying selective continuation for twice passed over O-3s and O-4s is not assured, so high year tenure changes wouldn't surprise me.

Ironic that just three years ago they were moaning that the current up or out system kicked out folks just when they'd hit their prime...so let's kick them out before they reach their prime? Is that the new logic?

Air Force Reserve. Not sure but aren't HYT limits standard for officers across all branches?

I wouldn't doubt some tweaking in the AFRC manning. It appears that they are the only one without a dance partner now that the Guard has a Joint Chiefs spot. Let the iron grab/realignments begin. The Guard will probably keep it's sometimes separate facilities etc. I expect to see the Reserves to act more as augmentees...reducing the need for large facilities and overhead for stand alone wings. It will be interesting. I guess the first answers will come around the first part of Feb.

Any word on a 2012 RIF affecting junior captains with less than 6 years of service?

maybe smaller admin only reserve structure? the "seemless" integration shown by the Reserves may serve to justify a closer role with their active duty counterparts. anyone heard anything?

Have not heard anything but I doubt that would be in jeopardy. they will get their blood from a junior captain and then look at it again when you're a senior captain

Haven't heard about a FY12 RIF yet. I can't get onto AFPC secure from home, but there was a link on the front page of the site for FY12 force shaping initiatives (pilots are eligible for none of them, by the way).

What is the high year tenure for an O-4?
