I'll add another good option.

I did my ATP with the University of Central Missouri Aviation Department in Warrensburg, MO (Skyhaven Airport), just down the road from Whiteman AFB. Their ATP program is run by a retired B-52/T-38 pilot.

Academics, two practice flights (Piper Seminole), and a checkride: $2,700, plus a $300 evaluator fee paid directly to their in-house FAA Flight Examiner. You can purchase additional practice flights if you want. I stayed in billeting at Whiteman while I was there to save money.

There are cheaper options out there, but this program is as military friendly as it gets, and the training was very high quality.

PM me for contact information if interested.

Looking for any SA on examiners in/around LA or Fresno for an ATP? I have access to a King Air in Bakersfield and want to use that for my ATP after I get some time and feel prepared in the airplane. Just don't want to walk into a checkride with a completely unknown examiner. Any Ideas? If not, I will be looking for one of the many ATP options I have been reading about. Thanks for any SA any of you may have for a SoCal option.

Hey guys, new to the forum but I have a buddy who is currently doing ATP instruction out at Lee Airport near Annapolis. F/a-18F guy by trade, and he's currently taking care of F-35 guys out of Pax river. $260/hr if interested. N.A.F.C.

I felt more than prepared with the stuff they gave me to look over, did a ground eval, and passed. I put in the work to get the ticket.

I would HIGHLY recommend Downtown to anyone....not because of the cost, but because they gave me an FAA check ride looking at my previous experience, ability and pushed aside the queep -- i.e. knowing that I'm not a Duchess Captain, nor aspire to be. It's not a diploma mill by any means.
I Agree wholeheartedly - I did Downtown a couple weeks ago. I am a fighter guy by trade, and although a little push it up to be entirely comfortable - the instruction and the evaluator picture was right.

Protip - If you put in the effort to study the materials they provide (I studied probably about 12-15 hours the weeks before going down there) and chair-fly before your checkride you will leave with your ticket.

The instruction was spot on and tailored to the ride and the ground eval.

Availability permitting they let you sandbag with someone doing there check so you can see the profile before practicing it and testing it.

So for the price, timing, and picture; Downtown (Home) is a good choice for mil guys

Yet another plug for Downtown Aviation in Memphis. The instruction was exactly what was needed for the checkride. I highly recommend them.

There's an examiner in Nogales, AZ who is very used to giving ATP practicals to military King Air pilots from Fort Huachuca and Yuma. PM me if you want his info.

Funny you mention that, I start there tomorrow. Seems like a good option.

I also have some gouge given to me by some A-10 bros at Davis-Monthan.
