For those of you that think you do not know anyone at JetBlue or any other airline, get a copy of their seniority list. Go over the list carefully. Have your wife go over it too (maybe she knows a name from OWC days). I was able to get a couple references to a great company from people I lost track of years ago and had no idea where they ended up. Think all the way back to Boat School, ROTC, Zoo, OCS, Pilot Training. The references I got were fine because although I had lost track of the people when we PCS'd they remembered flying with me. If you recognize people but they have not flown with you they may be able to put in a reference or suggest someone else you might know.
Getting a copy of the list is the difficult part. Knowing just one pilot there can make it happen. Once you get the list share it with your Squadron, the buddy system is definitely in order. Your squadron mate may end up being your reference some day.

Used LinkedIn - you can type in a search of JetBlue and everyone connected to you that might have connections with someone there will be ranked as 1st, 2nd, 3rd connections - I've found it to be a very useful tool job hunting.

Yes. I personally know a guy who got an email invite just a few days after VIB and has already interviewed. I heard of a gal who also got a last second invite just before the last round of interviews. It was also via email.
