Is that 10k/mo on the days you work with 2-3months on and 2-3 months off? In otherwords less than we made on active duty and probably no benefits? And spend half the year on deployment?

Usually not 135, comply with the regulations of the contracting agency, Army you abide by AR95-20. Part 91 with some additional requirements.

Better than nothing while you're waiting to get that golden Major airline interview. I mean you could go to the Regionals....

Flying currency is a big issue when interviewing.

Public use aircraft flown under USAF or US ARMY regulations and airworthiness standards.

Yes per month as SIC, only paid for months working in theater. No pay on months off. Some benefits, that's half the rate they used to pay. I'm not sure how they are getting pilots to fly contract in combat zones for that pay and get it taxed.

Too many companies to pin it down exactly. $700-800/day is what the quality companies pay with 60-90 on & 60-90 off (~130k/yr). The benefits vary, but all of the guys I know doing it are either Retired mil or Reserve and use Tricare for the medical.

Picking up a job like that at $330/day (~60k/yr) is beyond the race to the bottom. Especially considering the additional risk you assume versus the experience + security clearance you bring to the table to get the job.

I have not heard this and I seriously doubt they will pull the whole bait and switch.

You should seriously consider the quality of maintenance and the accident rate of these CIA-affiliated companies before signing on. One company near me wanted it's King Air copilots to have an A&P also so presumably they could fly all day and work all night.

Sounds like Dynamic looking for the A&P, they do have some older planes but all the ISR operators have excellent safety records.
