Looks like very sparsely populated area/mostly wilderness from the reports. What I'm more curious about (haven't really looked into the stories much) is whether the aircraft impacted intact. There were problems with the forward parts of the fuselages before.

Well, although eye-witness accounts are unreliable, one did say he saw an ejection, so perhaps he was seeing a break-up but mistook it for the pilot/seat? Just a thought.


@Hacker - Noted, Yeah I can imagine at those speeds you pass altitudes quick and everything happens in an instant. Is a shame though regardless.
