They made the right call out of respect. Its unfortunate some cannot accept that...the same who claim to defend personal liberties and freedoms.

All that said I firmly believe in separation of church and state, with exceptions made only for a few historical traditions and only if most folks can agree they're harmless (MOST reasonable folks, I don't care about the few rabble- rousers who will never be happy . I actually don't think the pledge of allegiance is appropriate in schools because it is not really historical, ie it doesn't go back to our roots as a nation, it came into common use in the 1950's.

What irks me is people using tradition to push their personal religious beliefs on others who may, out of their innate freedom, choose not to subscribe to them. If you want or need a pulpit, find one elsewhere.

I have found, nearly without exception, people of faith to be very judgmental...when only God can judge.

Move on...
Brandi is right, this drifted out of it's lane.

But just so ya'll know, I'm no particular religion at all. I'm really more of an impartial observer. So calling me "people of faith" or judgmental is pretty silly. Nowhere have I advocated or disparaged any particular religion.
