Delta Jump Seat Privleges on Mil Leave
All,
Anyone have current data on DAL jump seat privileges if your on Mil leave orders greater than 30 days? I have to do some Mil training greater than 30 days and would like to try and jump seat home once in a while. The FOM is not very clear, it just says to contact the PSC for further information on benefits and privileges. Before I do that I figure I would ask here to see if anyone has recent experience with this situation.
Will I remain in CASS for a while after I go on mil status or does the Company pull me from CASS effective with my long term mil date? I plan to call in the next few days to see what the PSC says, but for now, I am all ears to others experiences....

Jetnfast,
No federal requirement to pull you out of CASS for military duty over 30 days.
Talk to your ALPA rep first IMHO for specific DAL actions. Also, IMHO, DAL (and all CASS airline) military service members should remain in CASS.
CASS does require a current airline ID and a current FAA medical for listing.
Recommend a current passport in system as well. Once was mandatory, not sure today if system still has the data.

It's up to the airline. They are also limited by USERRA which requires that those on mil leave are afforded the same bennies as those on any other type of leave. So they can't pull mil travel bennies if they allow pregnant women on leave to travel, etc. My regional keeps you active for some number of years but not forever (three years?). They even mailed me a new badge when mine expired.
I *thought* there was some sort of FAA/TSA limit based on the premise that after a certain number of years gone you're considered dequaled for JS purposes but Salty says no.
