I'm actually surprised you haven't caught more heat for your "lack" of research. Probably because the post is new. The following links are quality deployment reading. These should answer many of your questions. Enjoy and good luck!

Those 2 were already shown to him. He didn't like some of the answers that were given....

I was out of the cockpit for 5 years and had to spend about a year getting re-trained and then deployed before I got comfortable flying again. There has been no time for a deep study of the airlines.
So my question to you is do you actually have some advice for me about the major airlines? I have absolutely no control of what the Air Force decides to do in June.

To include Albie's/Emerald Coast's advice.
Can you get IP/stand eval/safety boxes checked? If so, DO IT!!!!!!

The HELP was leading the horse to water with multiple threads that answer just about EVERY question that has been asked.
Asking the same questions under different thread titles just jams up the forums.

If you are "early retired," what benefits will you receive? I know if you're "not retained," there are few, if any, benefits.
If you are "not retained," does that affect your ability to get picked up by an ANG/AFRes unit? If I was in your shoes, I'd look for a Guard/Reserve unit so I could get that last five years in for 20.

I'm on a six month non flying staff tour right now that was a short notice non-vol for me. They had a 3 day suspense for a rated FGO, and I was the only one available since I'd just gotten back from a trip and wasn't tasked for anything. IP, Stan Eval, and safety aren't going to happen in time. I've got my aircraft commander positron and that's it.

Currently talking to guard units at this time as well as researching the airlines.
