F-15E and the ANG

Yes guys, I think it's abundantly clear that Adler was kidding. I think most people got that his post was in jest...we really need a sarcasm font!
He wants to come back because he hasn't had to deal with DTS/AROWS/VPC, or attend mandatory biannual sexual assault briefings (reminding you that if you're a male, that you're just a rapist in waiting...and not to rape anyone tonight...every song and everything is either sexist or racist). Also, don't drink, always be PC and your "deployments" are to non-combat locations to fly CT, no tax-free, no combat pay and you have a choice to go in non-vol or voluntary status. The catch you ask? Voluntary status is NOT USERRA exempt, meaning it counts against your 5 years of mil leave...you do get credit for the 90 days early retirement. If you go in Non-voluntary status, you ARE USERRA exempt (doesn't count against the 5 years) but then you don't get the 90 days early retirement credit...
The latests hit is the way we get paid as part timers. No more paper 105s, they've created a new online system that works "better..." Every new "advancement" in the last 5-10 years has made it more and more difficult to be a part-timer. It's sad to say, but we are now at a time where even Guard guys are counting down the days until they hit 20!

/thread derailment...what just happened, I blacked out for a second!
I'll caveat the rant with the flying and camaraderie is second to none!

Just a joke and friendly inter-service ribbing. Some call the F-18 or mostly the Super Hornet "the Rhino." The F-4 has been called, among other things, the Rhino for years. Since the F-4 is the REAL Rhino, F-4 drivers tend to give imposter Rhino drivers a ration about poaching their nickname. After looking at your avatar and mine, I though I'd keed you a little bit to go along with the "3200 hour swashbuckling" above. Do you get it now?

No one calls the F/A-18 A-Ds 'Rhino' - so it isn't "mostly the Super Hornet" - it is ONLY the Super Hornet.

No argument on the true "Rhino" from me. I thought it might be Hornet related, hence my confusion. My avatar has always been referred to as the "high-tech Eagle" (within our community, anyway). While all the MD, twin engine fighters of the last 40-50 years are fine machines, the mighty Eagle is tops with me (your bad-ass bird a very close second - my second choice out of UPT )
