New AF bomber

Did it happen? In case you didn't know it, calling in an airstrike on a hospital is war crime. But then, I guess you're a big supporter of Lt. Calley and My Lai. Since you're probably too young to remember it, google it. But, then, in your fevered world, the troops can do no wrong.
Please tell us what "really" happened? And how was the food while you were there?

Maybe they should buy one less bomber and pay for artificial limbs for all the soldiers that are coming back from the middle east with horrible injuries. You'd probably have a bunch of money left over to also help the thousands of other troops suffering from PTSD. But that doesn't fuel the military industrial complex, so it won't happen.

Packrat is an old washed up pilot who cannot find employment so he sits on the internet all day long trolling these and other sites. He also did not serve. Do not add to the continual decline of his mental state by challenging him. Pack...buddy...keep the faith and I hope you get better.
As for what US forces do. Having done 8 deployments in Afghanistan, I can attest to the extraordinary lengths US personnel go to to avoid non-combatant casualties. Sometimes, at great danger to themselves. I have seen COUNTLESS opportunities to strike targets but the risk of CD was way too high. The opportunity was either lost or saved until another day...at again, greater risk to those involved. Mistakes happen in war...always have and always will. Tragic for all those involved.
Pack, maybe you can find a job designating targets in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, ect. Seems you have a handle on things.

That helmet is a bit of concern these days due to the weight in the event of an ejection...so what I have heard.
