For small folks in a small part of the envelope. Not really a concern.

What a very crass and uniformed statement to make.

Yes. A hospital was hit. To allude that “some “grunts thought it had ISIS people in it” for the reason of this accident/mistake points to your very personally biased opinion which is not supported by what occurs in these types of situations. The only ludicrous charge of a war crime has come from the director and spokespersons for the “MSF” (known as Doctors without Borders in the U.S.) which by the way; is a very highly political driven organization with very biased agendas. This French based organization has a known history for making very outlandish claims and statements to appease their organizational philosophy and to keep encouraging the support of their (like minded donors) that contribute up to 80% of their budget.

And if you mean to infer that “grunts” are incapable of making informed decisions or handling important tasks, remember this: it is the “grunts” (18 and 19 year olds mainly) that perform the majority of front-line fighting that also allows you to sit on your butt in comfort and safety and hurl uninformed biased charges at them.

Actually it is. The formal term is "War crime of attacking personnel or objects involved in humanitarian or peacekeeping mission."

Additionally there is: "War crime of killing or wounding a person hors de combat."

Then there's: "War crime of attacking protected objects." That includes..."hospitals or places where sick and wounded are collected..."

Sometimes the education level of the posters on this site actually scares me. The ignorance is astounding. Google is a wonderful thing. Some folks should try it BEFORE posting.

I guess you meant "uninformed." However, you're Freudian slip indicates your bias is that the "boots on the ground" can do no wrong. Or that, somehow, calling in an airstrike on a known hospital is somehow justified by the "fog of war."

You would be completely wrong. Until Vietnam at least, American soldiers didn't commit war crimes. Lt. Calley came along and slaughtered an entire village of innocent people. Is it any wonder that the returning soldiers were met with the epithet "baby killers."

Then along comes Dick Cheney and his neocons who convinced their little puppet, George that it was entirely legal to torture prisoners as long as they were Muslim. Heck, we can even fly them to countries where its allowed. I guess they forgot that when the Japanese used the waterboard, it was the U.S. that cried "War Crime!".

So now its OK to bomb a known hospital staffed by foreign doctors because you suspect there are enemy combatants inside.

Its exactly that attitude that will turn the public against the military just like it did in Vietnam. And I hope NEVER to experience that again. 99% of the guys in the military serve with honor and should be treated as such. Then some knucklehead does something like this and the entire military gets a black eye.

And the excuse, "Sure a hospital got hit, but it was staffed by a bunch of French bleeding heart liberals" doesn't hold water.

Its a war crime and someone needs to get prosecuted for it or American credibility goes right out the window.

Your personal bias knows no bounds.

Your trying to read things into what I said and making up quotes speaks volumes for your uncontrolled bias and clouded thinking.

You previously stated that: "Sometimes the education level of the posters on this site actually scares me. The ignorance is astounding." If you believe this, then you should be truly scared to death of yourself. Also, maybe you can keep using your Google bible to keep propping up your personal biases. It appears that Google is working wonders for your self-serving biased opinions.

I just present the facts. If the facts don't dovetail with your Tea Party agenda, oh well.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. You are not entitled to "your" facts. And the simple fact is this: Bombing a known hospital is a war crime.

Period.

Funny, I might be voting for Bernie in the Democratic primary, but if I fit into your "Tea Party" comment just because you're unwilling to admit your incendiary and wrong thinking here, so be it.

No, the fact is there must be intent for a war crime to exist, and there wasn't here.

Period.
Exclamation Point!
