Several of us took the bait, and couldn't get free of it until over a decade later.
I've often wondered what he got back for pushing all of us sheep to the slaughter.
Today, I just looked at LinkedIn, he's working at a major defense contractor.

I remember my very first CC, at my very first squadron, bringing in all of the new Lieutenants for a meeting in which he heavily pushed USPA-IRA's services.
Several of us took the bait, and couldn't get free of it until over a decade later.

Real risk of that. I'm not advocating this sort of behavior...
But in this case I think GDMA was interested in money, and professional crooks usually know that getting involved with espionage can attract unwanted attention from entities who may not have the same boundaries as law enforcement.
Same reason the Mexican cartels don't smuggle AQ or ISIL operators across the Rio grand. They know they can buy their own government, but not SOCOM, or OGA preds..
