Default The Big Picture isn't Pretty

If you have a little time take a look at where the country is headed from a monetary point of view. Interesting slideshow.

The ultimate cause of failure for a capitalistic society is legislatively plotting the 'givers' against the 'takers.' Let the majority legislate taking money away from the higher wage earners to give to the lower wagers, and you have a recipe for disaster. Of course, this is the way its done here. The only reason the US is still so successful is because compared to other countries, we still technically do less monetary socialism. I have a feeling we are about to see it get worse after this next election, though.

Or the Fair Tax"Americans For Fair Taxation: Americans for Fair Taxation". Also, the top 1% earn only 17% of the income in the United States. The Libs would have you believe the top 1% don't do their part.

Per Neal Boortz: "In a few weeks, the IRS is going to release its latest data on who pays how much in taxes. But an article in the Wall Street Journal gives us a sneak peak on what we can expect. According to the Treasury Department, perhaps for the first time ever, the richest 1% of taxpayers will have paid more than 40% of the income tax burden. Do you remember when we had Dennis Kucinich on the Boortz Show (audio) and I asked him what percentage of the tax burden do the top 1% of taxpayers pay? His answer was something like 15%. Not even close. I then asked him how much of total income the top 1% earned .. and he came back with the asinine figure of around 60%. In short (pun intended) he didn't have a clue. The actual answer was around 17.5%."

I agree.....wealthy people pay HUGE amounts of taxes, and you wonder why the hire tax lawyers to find loopholes in the system.

This page is the part that frightens me the most:

Income Tax Receipts Stay Constant Even as Tax Rates Declined

Good link cfii2007. It's astonishing to me how any 1%'er could vote Dem. I just don't get it. They worked extremely hard to EARN their wealth only to be forced by the Gov to give it to other people who DIDN'T earn it (like milky wrote).

I agree with milky, we have two types of people in this society, 'makers and takers'. I'm afraid there are a lot more 'takers' that have recently come out of the closet with so much enthusiam for that marxist radical guy running for prez its going alter this country significantly over the next decade.

Here is some good reading: www.PerotCharts.com

The fair tax is the best idea I have heard of in a while. It would bring the American economy back to life almost overnight. If you have not read Neal Bortz's book "Fair Tax: The Truth" you need to. It will open your eyes!
