I don't use them. I interviewed one of their people interested in managing my account. A friend uses them. Not impressed, although I think they are better than many out there.

I pay my guy by the year. I can see him anytime I want. He answers many money mngt questions for me He earns his way, and then some.

Most financial advisors I've interviewed do not have the authority to trade within a 401k. Most of them are interested in managing rollover IRAs and other investment accounts not associated with an employer. They generally charge 1% of assets under management. Too much for too little in my opinion.
