Default 737 Type rating?

Could someone name the various places to purchase a 737 type rating. Additionally, with each place the cost, time involved, etc.

Hi,

I did mine in AEROSERVICE in Miami, Florida. It cost me like 6K and is 21 days long. Hopefully that helps...

You can check with Pan Am International Flight Training Academy, Simuflight, Boeing-Alteon. You log onto Landings.com and look under flight schools for a more comprehensive list.

HPA and K&S don't list their pricing on their websites. Therefore the post.

Utah HPA is $7350 and 14 days of $45 a night for hotel. Grand Total $7980. However they are pretty much "in-bed" with SWA if that's your reason.

Utah? Where? School?

RJ captain at SkyWest. Been seeing guys with less PIC than me get an interview at Southwest. Seems that everone that goes to HPA gets the interview pretty soon after the type. Can't stay here for the rest of my career.

Flight training international, out of DEN, 5995, great instructors great company, couldn't ask for anything more. Took me 10 days to get the type done, but there were only 2 of us in class that week.

20-25% acceptance rate at the interview sucks. It is definately a gamble with poor odds. However, the payoff is worth it I'd imagine if you're one of the lucky ones. I've got 21 years left in aviation unless the retirement age changes. If I were to get hired there within the next year it would be at a minimum $1 million more in career earnings than where I'm at now.
