I don't know about anyone on here who has interviewed recently. But the next class is Monday. They usually run on the 2nd Monday of every month.

Getting close to 1K TT and the end of the season at my current gig! Hope to get a chance to interview with Ameriflight and get on next month's class . . . when I talked to Hunter last month he mentioned a June 13 one which would be the 2nd Monday in June indeed!

I'm not aware of any housing arrangements that AMF is doing. Most of the folks so far have come in and done their FO flying at the base they will eventually be assigned to as a captain. The ones I have dealt with already were living at their assigned bases. The only exception is a guy currently in training as a metro FO who lives in DFW but may need to do his flying (at least initially) in BUR because, while we have 2 specified metro runs in DFW we currently have no captains to fly them. The captain for one is also in this same class but the FO will be out on the line a few weeks before the captain completes training.

After you reach 1200 hours you will train as a captain in a BE99 and then transition to captain in the aircraft you did your FO flying in after a couple hundred hours.
So if you get a position as a FO in EMB120, once you hit 1200 hours you will be trained as a captain in a BE99 until you reach 1400/1500 hours and then come back to BRA as a captain?
I thought it would take years flying BE99 or other equipment until you get a chance in EMB due to seniority list. That means you can work at Ameriflight and basically fly just the BRA if you want to?

Thanks.

I got the phone call two weeks after getting that email you received to set up the interview. Just be a little bit patient. If your qualification is there, you'll get the call sooner or later.

Ok thanks! I started applying prematurely a few months ago and never finished the application and they called out of the blue to see if i was still interested. I just thought since i actually completed it this time that they would answer the phone lol.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about our FO transition program which is fly right seat in one of our aircraft that is usually flown single pilot. I wasn't talking about the E120 when I mentioned going from the 99 to the aircraft you were an FO in.

You will need more than 1400-1500 hours to be left seat in the 120. Normal progression would be hire on as an FO, BE99 at 1200 hours or so, 1400-1600 transition to the SA227 or BE1900 and then somewhere in the 2000 hour range you would be able to bid to the left seat of the E120.

Book numbers for the E120 are 3000 total, 1500 AML PIC, 750 turbine. But those can be adjusted based on performance and previous time in the aircraft (ie. SIC time.)
