You need to have 500 hours of jet time to even be an SIC on the jet. Pretty dumb if you ask me, being a KA350 PIC is way more difficult than sitting in the right seat of a straight wing jet.

What if an outsider is applying with over 1000hrs in a jet and 1000hrs of turboprop time?

You don't need 500 jet to be an FO. There is a 500 her Jet PIC requirement to be an Excel PIC, they are moving over guys that can upgrade quickly, otherwise they would need to hire a good number of street Captains. BTW this is a requirement from the same client that owns the aircraft and pays the salaries.

Look at the big picture, trey are taking delivery of 5 unexpected King Airs, 5 new Excels, and switching to a new schedule that demands a significant increase in staffing all at the same time.

Ahhh.... You're too smart for that.. I hope.
They could be making millions, but what would you expect them to say??

Okay, so what are the chances of being hired into the Excel as a Captain or how long can one expect until upgrade?
Prior 121/135 experience,
5500TT, 3300 Jet, 1860 Jet PIC, 2000, Turbo prop time.

Never used APC for a seat search but as they say, a first time for everything. No background in this kind of flying, none whatsoever. The King Air; got a route/nav display? Make hold laps on the A/P? Got a potty somebody else is supposed to service? Anybody out there make this transition from ACMI? From ACMI since longer than you care to remember?

The avionics are quite advanced. Currently Pro Line 21 that will do all that you mention, with an upgraded version coming in new deliveries for 2016. The potty is a pull out, serviced from the cabin. It isn't great, but isn't terrible. You will have to deal with it as a pilot, as you will have to deal with just about every aspect of the operation. There is a lot more to the job than going in the door and turning left .

We have some that came from North American, Evergreen, SkyLease and SkyKing. Probably other places like that, also.

Upcoming King Airs will have touch screen ProLine Fusion I believe. Can't get much more advanced than that. Anyone know if all of the earlier PL21 versions will get upgraded to Fusion too? Or will you operate a mixed fleet?

Whether I'm smart enough to see through that or not is irrelevant. They've drawn a line in the sand and that is the given excuse.

Thank you. I'll see if they have any interest.
