Resume in hand, hit every operator in driving distance and see what shakes out. There's a lot to be said for standing in front of the hiring desk, hat and resume in hand.

A week or so ago I saw a couple of ads for a place in HWD which was looking for CFIs. If you can do East Bay, I'd pound the pavement there as well.

Aperture Aviation at Reid-Hillview in San Jose is one of the better aerial mapping outfits, they fly well-equipped late-model C-206s. Their starting pay is on par with 2nd or 3rd year regional pay and their 8 on/6 off schedule is to die for.

The flight schools on the field are always looking for guys. Don't go anywhere near BelAir International. Diamond, West Valley, San Carlos Flight Center, Jato are all schools you can flight instruct at. Go into Diamond, they charter 2 PC12s, the owner wants you to have been flight instructing for at least a year. and Jato Also charters a PC12 as well.

There is also Dreamline aviation that keeps a Kingair on the field.

Try Ahart. If you think you can do Livermore, PM me and I'll get you in contact with a few friends that work there and we'll get the ball rolling. They have a high student load right now.

I wouldn't trust any flight school in which CFIs dress up as 4-stripe Captains.

But.. but... but... That usually means they are MEI's so they have earned the four-stripes.
