Logging ATP XC time
Alright, so here's what I know:
-When logging xc time towards your private, instrument and commercial, the flight must include a landing more than 50 nm away from the original point of departure.
-When logging xc flight time towards your ATP, you must fly greater than 50 nm from your original point of departure, with no landing required.
Now that I have my commercial, and have logged ~600 hours since receiving my commercial, I can count flights that are greater than 50nm without a landing as xc. However, can I go back and add the flights from the beginning of my logbook that fulfill the ATP XC requirements, or only the ones since receiving my commercial? Do I buy a big ole tub of white out and get to work on updating my xc totals? Do I make a new column for ATP XC?
The wording is sort of unclear as to what counts and what doesn't. I've had my eyes set on my ATP since the day I started flying, so arguably everything I've done has been working towards an ATP. However, I can also see the other side of the argument, where only flights since receiving my commercial can use the ATP XC requirements.
Anyone have any insight on this?

Don't white-out anything in your logbook. It's a legal document. Treat it like one. If you need to make corrections, a single line through the error, initialed, suffices.
You do not need separate columns for cross country experience. If your flight qualifies as a cross country now that you've completed your commercial, log it in the cross country column. When you fill out your 8710 for the ATP, add up all the cross country experience that meets the definition for ATP. Done.
It's really not that complicated.
