Default Skinny on Northern States

Hello-
Anyone willing to give up the good/bad/ugly on Northern States Aviation?
Saw an ad for a survey pilot at 400 TT. I'm a CFI/CFII with just over that, thought it looked interesting, but I am enjoying being at home; wanted to make sure it would be worth going on the road.
Any advice appreciated.
Thx!

I worked there for the 2007-2008 season. I liked it pretty well. You will literally be gone for about 8 months straight. We got 3 days off for Christmas. The pay was 1750/month and $110/day per diem.

I was there in 2012. I enjoyed my time there. If you are frugal like I was you can make a good amount of money. I always got along with Nick but some of the other guys had some problems with him. If you do something dumb and he feels he can't trust you it's tough to work for him. Do your job, keep him informed and he will treat you well.
