Just be careful on the single engine right seat. Some of those outfits will put you over there, but be very careful about logging right seat flight time. Most operators will laugh at a pilot that comes to an interview with right seat single engine turbine time. In many cases, you an't even log it. That is one of the reasons you received some of the responses. In all honesty, if you want to get on at the Mountain, or empire, or Baron, it would probably be a lot quicker to just get your CFI and plug away. believe me, when you hit the 1200 hour mark, they will hire you. Keep in mind that 1200 mark has restrictions as well that includes PIC time, which you won't be logging in the right seat. Feel free to PM me if you need to.

About the floater positions, as for now, they aren't technically home based, unless you live in one of the cities listed, which includes most major US airports on the east coast. It is true about the overtime pay for working your PTO week. It is a nice option, but keep in mind, you are young in your career. More flying sounds great right now, but believe me flying becomes a job. I loved taking lessons when I was 12, 13, all the way up to 19 or so. By the time I hit 1,000 hours, flying was a chore. The 121 world made it even worse. All you will care about after a year or two on the line is making as much money as you can and getting home as quickly as possible. For most, the being home part is worth more that the PTO. As for your question on the ATR flying, not much different than the 208 stuff. The leg length in miles is usually a little longer, but you wont get a lot more hours. Its not like we have a ton of destinations, so after a year or so, most of the routes and frequencies will be memorized.
