I got hired at Boutique Air as an FO with 450 hours (also had turbine time that may have helped significantly). Shoot a resume their way if you're interested in flying a PC12. I've heard that they have hired guys with wet commercials in the past. Up to you to get through training, though.

Hey, sorry for missing this post earlier. I really like survey so far; it's had me all over the country in different airspace environments. Pay is good, equipment is well maintained, etc. Hours have been slow this past month due to weather, but when the weather is good, and days long, there's plenty of time to log (141 in July for me, for example). If you check another forum, SkyLens is looking to fill two slots ASAP to backfill guys moving to multi flying.

(Disclosure: I work for SkyLens, but my opinions are my own)

So I've come across these forums several times and a lot of people have gotten some fantastic advice in the past and I have no place to turn to and could really use your help.

I'm a 21 year old, commercial licensed, instrument rated pilot ASEL & AMEL with only 255 hours and several other endorsements (tail wheel, high performance, complex). I'm about to graduate with a bachelors in aviation and a minor in business and have tried to get a job from 50+ companies and nobody is biting because I have so few hours. I'm not an instructor and I don't have the money to become one, so I'm just straight out of luck. I've done thousands of Google searches to find a company where I can hopefully build up time and make a little bit of money So I can at least get my career started. And so far: nothing.

Do any of you guys know of any places that a guy like me can get some work as a pilot and I am willing to relocate literally anywhere. (Currently in OK)

I'd really appreciate it and I know I'm asking for way more than I should, I just don't know where else to turn
Try to earn a "pilot slot" with the military. Quality training and it almost guarantees you a spot with the legacies once your tour is complete.

Default Military Flying

I'll echo Luv2Rotate's comments also. If you are so inclined, military flying still offers some of the best around. Training is top-notch, you'll get to see plenty of the world (besides the desert...), and when you do transition to the civilian aviation market, your hours, flight experience, and additional "staff" skills are sought after. I've got a few months left in the Navy, so it's bittersweet to leave. But, the timing is good on the outside as well. Good luck!

Hageland will likely have a class in the spring. See the Hageland thread for more details on the company.

Don't join the military in an attempt to advance your aviation career. Only join the military if you fully understand and agree with what you'll be asked to do.

If I were fresh out of college I would look at flying in Alaska or with Susi Air or some other Pacific island hopping job.

Starting the military reserve pilot route takes about two years to start training.

Great Lakes Airlines only requires a wet commercial now...I'd still figure a way to get your cfi and build time that way. Many part 61 schools are so desperate for cfi's now that they will help you with your costs then guarantee you a job.

What's the starting pay for a first officer at Great Lakes?

As another has mentioned, Skydive AZ in Eloy, AZ has hired people with low time. You'll build time fast and see a lot of whacky stuff working at DZ.
