With your time, the problem you have is that you don't have enough to go to a 121 carrier, and everyone else hiring with less time, such as CFI positions, don't want to hire you because they know you'll bail after a couple months. You may luck out, but I know a guy who was in exactly your position, in the Denver area, and he ended up going to Great Lakes with a training contract. Good luck

Botique Air is hiring with a base in Denver. Co worker of mine is going through training now with far fewer hours than you currently have.

My instructor got hired with something like 3,000 TT and 700 Multi... He had been career instructing for a while but finally had enough flying slow. Got hired with the arrangement of being an FO for ONE MONTH then upgrade to captain. I think they are hurting for captains enough that you might be able to make a similar move. Maybe not one month but less than a year perhaps.

Keylime air might be another option but I haven't heard anything about their hiring lately. I would imagine you are aware of these options if you have been around the area for very long.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I'm in a similar position. I'll be moving to the Denver/Colorado Springs area in a few months, and am looking to move on from instructing.

2600TT, plenty of turbine but it's mostly helo turbine. 1600 fixed wing split between single engine turboprop and piston. 1700 PIC but no 121 or 135 experience at all (was mostly military).

I'm looking into PenAir and Skywest...Boutique had a lot of hate and discontent in their thread, and it's mostly single engine, but if folks have had good experiences there I'd love to hear it. QOL is more important to me in the near term than maximizing flight hours or pay. Does anyone know of another place I should look into in Denver or Colorado Springs?

Thanks much!

Look into Key Lime Air. You could be a street captain flying cargo in a metro. Home every night, and weekends off.

Alpine Air would be better than Key Slime.
