Default Finding the right college

So I currently have my PPL. I will be getting out of the military here in a little over a year. I have picked a handful of colleges that have an aviation department, and will be using my post 9/11 GI bill to help pay for most of this. I would just like opinions and some help on picking which one. Thank you!
1. Utah Valley University
2. Southern Utah University
3. Arizona State University
4. Spartan Aeronautical college
5. Baylor University

Ever thought of Cochise College in Douglas, AZ? Great prices on their programs as well as on-site airport , college and dorms.

I actually have never heard of that place before! Looks like I'll have to do some research on them! You went there

Don't go to college unless you are also planning on becoming a mechanic. If you're not going to become a mechanic, then get a more diverse (and less expensive) degree elsewhere. And you should do it online, while you are already employed as a pilot.

Unless you are specifically trying to stay in the desert southwest, take a look at the University of Oklahoma. We also have a pretty good football team (most years).

I would say go to college, major in something else you find interesting. Aviation degree is nearly worthless if the industry crashes again. I would echo the online sentiment, or at least in-state. Then again as long as the GI bill covers it, I'd say go for it. Do enough flying to become a CFI then use that to build time and earn a bit of money as well.

Best of luck!

Good catch. I meant don't go to college first if you want to be a pilot.

bro, I'm leaving the military soon too so I know how you feel. If you wanna get all your ratings covered, try Florida State College at Jacksonville-AS degree in Pro Pilot Tech., your GI Bill will cover all the ratings at min hours, so you pay for the hours over mins, plus written and checkride. Idk how the others are, but that's where I'm headed. Good luck in the CivDiv brother, it's gonna be a blast!
