Looking for anything around Daytona Beach, Fl
I have cmel csel and ir looking for anything from Jacksonville to cape canaveral to Orlando. I just moved here with my wife and 3 kids. I'm working on my cfi right now. I have around 225 tt. Everything I've been able to find has been at least 500 tt. Does anyone know of anything that might not be on the job boards or something I haven't seen? I'm really motivated but out of town work is not an option. I've tried skydive space coast but their firm on 1000 tt. Any suggestions?

I know that's the case for 135 operators. Part 91 can hire below that. Aerial application, traffic monitoring, pipeline patrol, skydiving, and banner towing can all be done with just a commercial. I'm just looking for something to help build time until I can get my cfi. A little money coming in is better than no money coming in... :/ I would even be ok with flying for some of the folks out of the fly in community over here at spruce creek for next to nothing...most of the problems come from insurance. A lot of companies won't insure below 500 tt.

Lusher,
Look into volunteering as well. Sometimes, the most and greatest opportunities come from giving our time for free...Serendipity happens when we are open to different possibilities. Go to Spruce Creek (in Port Orange, right?), talk to folks down there, tell them you want to help. I wish you well.
Thanks.

What do you guys think? Good or bad idea? I did my training at Spartan in Tulsa and I'm going to Riddle right now. I'm trying to finish my cfi at Air America as well.

You're in Daytona Beach... you can't swing a dead cat with out hitting five pilots, five instructors and three mechanics. The population of low time pilots is saturated in that area because of riddle and the other schools.
You're best option is to get out of that area, the competition from your classmates will be too fierce.
